About Fayd
Fayd is a live-fundraising platform for nonprofits and community organizations, operated by FAYD Live LLC. At an event, guests join with a short code or QR code, watch a shared total rise on a big screen, react, and give with Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card.
What organizations get
- A live screen and room for the event, with milestones and a gift feed (names shown only if the guest agrees and the organization approves them).
- A ledger of every gift, an audit log that cannot be edited, and tax receipts for donors in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada.
- A public transparency report when the event closes out: totals and fees, with no donor personal data.
- A way to record cash, cheques, pledges and payments taken on the venue's own card machine alongside online gifts.
How the money moves
Every online gift is charged directly on the organization's own payment account; Fayd never holds donations. Fayd earns a 1.5% platform fee on online gifts (shown to the donor before paying, inside “Fayd processing (est.)”, together with card processing) and a monthly subscription from the organization. Donors may add an optional tip for Fayd. Gifts recorded from cash, cheques or the venue's own card machine carry no Fayd fee, so an organization that only records gifts pays its plan and nothing more. See Pricing.
Who it is for
Registered charities and community organizations in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada that run live giving moments: galas, school and community events, and appeals. We are currently running pilot events with a small number of organizations.
